Sailing ships & Sinking Spoons
In this delightful story, two young Tibetan monks, Tenzin and Tashi, along with Genla, the monastery’s beloved storyteller, ponder a curious question: why does a small steel spoon sink in water, while a massive ship floats? Their science teacher, Miss Sonam, guides them through a hands-on experiment using an apple, a spoon, and a tub of water to explore the principles of buoyancy and density. Through their experiment, the children learn about the concept of displacement and how the shape and material of an object affect its ability to float or sink. Recommended age – 6+ years
