Alphabet Flash Cards

These Alphabet Flash Cards introduce children to letters through familiar pictures and words, helping them gradually connect what they see (the letter) with what they hear (the sound) and what they say (the word).

How they help children:

  • Letter recognition: Helps children become familiar with the alphabet and identify letters with confidence.
  • Sound recognition: Encourages children to listen for and identify the beginning sounds in words — an important foundation for early phonics and reading.
  • Vocabulary enrichment: Each picture introduces children to new words, expanding their vocabulary in a natural and engaging way.
  • Language development: Talking about the pictures, naming objects and describing them encourages communication and expressive language.
  • Memory & recall: Repeatedly matching letters, sounds and pictures strengthens recall through playful repetition.

A simple material with a big purpose:
Instead of simply memorising the alphabet, children get an opportunity to see, hear, say and connect — building the foundations for confident early literacy.
